Louder Than Hate is a grassroots movement built by artists, organizers, and creatives from the DIY music scene.
We use music, shows, and community action to call out anti-LGBTQIA+ hate—and do something about it.
No corporate funding. No middlemen. Just people who give a damn.
Silence is not an option.
We make noise—and we make it count.
Drop national compilations through My Favorite Scene
Throw local benefit shows through Hometown Noise
Raise money for LGBTQIA+ orgs
Show up through protest, organizing, and art
This isn’t charity and it’s not for show.
Every dollar raised fuels two things:
The fight—through LGBTQIA+ orgs on the front lines.
The noise—through the music, shows, and protest we’re building from the ground up.
We kicked it off with Equality Texas and we’re backing grassroots crews doing real work across the country.
In 2023 alone, more than 540 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills were introduced across the U.S.
Trans youth are losing access to care. Queer lives are under attack. Books are being banned. Stories erased.
This isn’t theoretical. This is happening—right now.
And we’re not staying quiet about it.
No matter who you are—you’ve got a part to play.

Terry wanted to honor his moms.
Greg wanted to amplify the people too often ignored.
Together, they started something louder.
My Favorite Scene began as a DIY comp Terry made in 2000—just a drummer compiling local tracks and burning CDs.
Years later, after losing his stepmom, he raised money for Equality Texas instead of asking for flowers.
As anti-LGBTQIA+ laws spread across Texas, Terry planned a benefit show.
Greg—his longtime friend—pushed him to go bigger: bring the comp back.
Terry had the platform. Greg lit the fuse.
“The world needs more love—and to bring awareness for marginalized communities. So I was all about it.”
— Greg
What started personal became something bigger.
